It's very hard to work two vineyards, no matter how small they are, and I keep thinking how hard it was for the grandparents to do this alone and the vineyards and the fields. Out of respect for their work, fathers try to face the not easy work to remember them.

With all the tractors, electric sprayers and other tools that help you, taking care of the vineyard is still a laborious and "timing" job, that is, you don't do it when you can, but when the time is right. And if you don't manage to do that, the effort is getting bigger and bigger.

And since there is no where to find help, and I can't go all the time to help, we had to make a compromise to make work easier for fathers. So this year, I exchanged lands with Finu' Onica, giving up the two vineyards planted by my father. The new vineyard is similar in terms of varieties to the others, and Othello lives up to the rather high standards set by father Costica. It is compact, with a few new varieties that I will tell you about when picking, and most importantly, it is on the street in fields with vines, not in the field next to agricultural land like the others, because the neighbors had removed the vines and leased the land. Finu' Onica was a tavern keeper during the party, so he has good varieties and he worked with respect in the vineyard, so we were very lucky to find such a vineyard, on the road and with two walnuts in front of us to have walnuts and shade when picking They.

When he told about his life with him, my father understood that he would also have a black baby and I was very happy. If you remember from the story, the dream is to have another type of wine, Costica cel Nobil, made from black Babeasca that I thought would be suitable for the area. And here is that the black babeasca actually exists in the area, where it is called otherwise, Parci, and it seems that it was a kind of noble cattle of the place. When picking it, I thought I found it, but talking with Finu' Onica, it seems that it is a different variety, not Parci. So I will continue my search for the Park because I heard that someone still has it in the vineyard and maybe I will also go and catch some logs.

From the old vine we tried to keep some stumps, searching with my brother through the freshly plowed land where the old vines were. Beautiful moments of brotherhood, in which we both stayed for a few days, the first days in many years when we stayed like brothers, walking around the Olt spillway, in the vineyard, planting stumps together or standing in the evening with a glass of Costica.

If we don't manage to keep at least one log, we kept a beautiful memory that we will work on together the next time we have our moments together.
