The first failure... the first lesson...

The barrels look good, especially since they were full of the last Othello and had potential?

I proposed myself that before the wine from the new vineyard that my father took in exchange for my grandparents' vineyard, I would make a wine that would remind me of the old vineyard, of the tradition there, of Othello.

It didn't work out for me. And it hit me very hard, showing me that no matter how well you do, you must always pay attention to the process and quality as a simple slip can compromise an entire production.

I neglected exactly what I learned in all the 7 years since I've been trying to make a country wine appreciated by everyone, not just the fermenters on the street corner or the producer: the constant temperature in the cellar and the air in the barrel. .. I said that if I bought new barrels, prepared them well, filled them with quality wine and stored them in the cellar, the job is done and I will wait quietly until I harvest the fruits.

I found out that it is not so easy and I ruined all the production from 2021, production on which I relied a lot from many points of view: the last Othello from the Costica vineyard and the wine made exactly as we practiced in the last years that would last this artisanal concept to the next level.

So I threw away all the wine and only now, after three months, I managed to get over and write the stories on the site again as a continuation of the journey I started in 2015...

Life goes on, we will always have failures... the important thing is to learn from them and continue our journey...

Even if the 2021 production is now history, I still have a backup option for those who want to taste Costica Wine. It is true that we will taste Costica cel Tanar more and a few remaining bottles of Costica cel Intelept for the first entrants.

So I bought bottles, courier transport boxes or other practical boxes so that I can send them safely to the address of those who wish. What do you say/ who is signing up? :)
